New Cru Orientation Schedule

Schedule for January 2025

ATTENTION: NEW CRU ORIENTATION (NCO) SCHEDULED FOR THURSDAY, JANUARY 9, 2025, HAS BEEN CANCELLED DUE TO ANTICIPATED WINTER WEATHER. Students registered for NCO have been contacted about what to expect for an alternate orientation -- AND how to complete required advising appointments to enroll in Spring classes. Students who were NOT registered for NCO but who plan to attend UMHB for Spring 2025 should contact their Admissions Counselor for next steps!

• 8:30 am – Check-in at Bawcom Student Union
• 9:00 am – Welcome in McLane Great Hall – 3^rd floor of Bawcom Student Union
• Following the welcome, representatives from academic units and campus resource offices will share important information about academic programs, advising, student life, the business side of being a student (i.e., billing, financial aid, housing, etc.), and student success.
• Following the morning sessions, break-out sessions will be held for A) students using military benefits (required session), B) students who would like to tour campus, or C) students who want to visit the Campus Store or need to visit Campus Police for Cru Cards (official UMHB student ID) or Parking Decals.
• Advising appointments for students who did not have a virtual advising appointment in December will be held between 12:00pm and 4:00pm (specific time/location will be provided at check-in).
• The detailed schedule will be announced during the Welcome.
