Scholarships

New or Transfer Students

Applicant should submit the following:

1. Art Scholarship Application
   • Application includes upload of a portfolio of at least 10 works from the past two years
   • If transferring from another college, be prepared to upload unofficial transcripts of previous academic work on application
2. One letter of recommendation, which should be from a previous art teacher or art professional
   • Email letter of recommendation to Stephanie Chambers

Returning Students

Selection is based on academic record, past art course performance, and the submission of the following:

1. Art Scholarship Application
   • Application includes upload of a portfolio of at least 10 works from the past two years
2. Overall 2.5 grade-point-average and 3.0 in art courses

Administrative Procedure

• Upon completion of application and portfolio review, the art faculty makes a recommendation to the Director of Financial Aid in regard to recipient and amount.
• A letter is sent to the applicant informing him/her of the specific recommendation. A copy of the letter is also forwarded to Financial Aid Director. (Recipient should bring award letter to Financial Aid.)
• The student confirms the award through direct inquiry with Financial Aid.
• Awards are divided between the Fall and Spring semester. Spring semester awards are contingent upon students maintaining a 3.0 in Art courses and continued enrollment.
