Many problems are resolved when a student makes an appointment with a faculty or staff member and communicates their concerns. Informal student concerns may include concerns about course content, syllabus content, inability to enroll in a full class, course scheduling, billing, financial aid, campus housing, etc. Students are encouraged to handle these types of concerns by contacting the relevant department or employee so the concern can be resolved quickly.

Student Academic Appeal

Students may appeal any academic decision that is arbitrary, capricious, or unfair. For an appeal to have merit, the student must show that the decision was clearly erroneous or that the university failed to follow its policies or rules. Student Complaints Not Otherwise Specified

Students may file a formal complaint for:

1. Any concern not listed in the sections above
2. Any concern for which no other specific complaint or appeal process exists
