Salute
The purpose of this chapter is to provide opportunities for veteran students to gain knowledge for entry civilian work life and assist in establishing an academic and professional foundation for career advancement.
SALUTE offers opportunities for students to learn skills useful in the civilian workforce and in everyday life.
SALUTE-UMHB Chapter seeks to foster camaraderie between military and civilian life with other degree-seeking students and develop networks within the University and surrounding communities.
Requirements
Shall be enrolled in UMHB and must provide proof of an honorable discharge from any branch of the United States Armed services (minimum of one-year past service is required) or proof of current duty station. In addition, must have completed 12 semester hours or its equivalent of one semester and have a minimum 3.0 GPA.
