Best Buddies

Best Buddies is an organization focused on creating friendships with people who have intellectual and developmental disabilities. Best Buddies helps young adults feel more engaged in the community by matching them with college students. College students will be placed in a group with about four or five peers. Each group will have one young adult with special needs. The requirements for each buddy group is to talk to each other once a week and see each other twice a month. As an organization, we will come together at least once a month so that all groups can interact with one another and do something fun! In the past we have done game nights, Friendsgiving dinners, dance lessons, and volunteer projects in our community.
