Easter Pageant
In 1940, President Singleton had the idea to utilize the ruins of Luther Hall for a portrayal of Holy Week. Cynthia Sory, drama faculty member, helped bring his dream to life by writing a script, creating costumes and staging the drama. Currently, the pageant is student-directed and produced. The roles of Christ, Mary, and the Director are one of the highest honors afforded to UMHB students and are cast by the university president.
86th Annual Easter Pageant
Wednesday, March 27th
Performances at 12:30PM, 3:00PM, and 5:30PM
Open to the public
The purpose of the Easter Pageant is twofold: to give UMHB students the opportunity to be involved in depicting the Easter story, and to share that story with the surrounding community. To make certain that as many college students as possible can be part of the production on a set that is limited in size, participation will be open only to the children or grandchildren of UMHB employees or students.
For more information on how you can be involved in this year's Easter Pageant, stop by the Campus Activities office on the second floor of Bawcom Student Union or email us at easterpageant@umhb.edu.

Miss MHB 2024
Saturday, November 4, 2023
While it has evolved throughout the years, the Miss Mary Hardin-Baylor pageant has a rich history on campus and has been a treasured tradition at UMHB since the 1950s. Classes, student organizations and residence halls select representatives and then judges interview the contestants, listen to their platforms, and evaluate them on the group dance, individual talent and evening gown stroll. The winner is then crowned Miss Mary Hardin-Baylor for the next school year and has the opportunity to implement her platform on campus and in the surrounding community.

Crusader Knights 2024
Saturday February 24th
7 PM in the W.W. Walton Chapel”
During the show, the men are judged on their unique video, ability to perform an improv skit, and ability to answer interview questions. One could say that Crusader Knights is a spoof on the Miss Mary Hardin-Baylor pageant. However, while lighthearted and fun, this tradition promotes community and encourages positive leadership on campus.

Mr. Crusader Knights 2016
Cru Knights allows you to meet and spend time with guys from all over campus. It was incredible to get so close to the contestants and directors. The CK16 guys have become some of my great friends! I wouldn’t trade that for anything.
