Wendi Fitzwater

I have worked as the McLane Hall Resident Director since August of 2000. I am married to Mark Fitzwater (1989 UMHB Alumni), and we have three children: Jacob (2019 UMHB Alumni), Drew & Bethany. All three have grown up in McLane Hall and loved interacting with our students. Our apartment is in the core of McLane Hall and allows me to be available to our students 24 hours a day. It is an interesting way to raise our family, but we feel that we have received an enormous blessing by investing in students.

Prior to working for UMHB, I was employed by Prudential Insurance in Missoula, Montana. Before moving to Missoula, I worked for Master PI Detective in Glendora, California. In that position I handled day-to-day operations, undercover operatives and information research. While working in that capacity, I worked with the FBI, DEA, and Los Angeles Police Department. Our office worked with the FBI on the David Koresh, Waco Incident and the LAPD for the OJ Simpson case. Prior to working in Los Angeles, I worked for the State of Montana Department of Natural Resources and a law firm in Portland specializing in Corporate and Tax Law. Straight out of high school I attended Bradford in Portland, Oregon for Legal Assisting and Mount Hood Community College. In 2021, I received my bachelors in applied studies from UMHB.
