Robert Pendergraft joined the University of Mary Hardin-Baylor faculty in Fall 2016. In 2017, Robert joined the staff of First Baptist Church of Salado where he currently serves as Associate Pastor of Music Ministries. Robert additionally has served as President of the Baptist Church Music Conference, the national organization of denominational leaders, educators, and ministers of music serving Baptist congregations. He was an inaugural recipient of the Calvin Institute for Christian Worship Teacher/Scholar Grant in 2019. Robert holds Bachelor and Master degrees in Music Education from Samford University in Birmingham, AL, and the Doctor of Philosophy degree in Church Music from Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary in Fort Worth, TX.
