Curriculum Vitae (Résumé)
Dr. Rebecca Peterson joined UMHB in Fall 2005 as an Associate Professor of History. She previously taught for eleven years at Graceland University in Lamoni, Iowa, where she also served as Division Chair for Social Sciences. She received her B.A. in History from Texas Lutheran College, and earned both her M.A. and Ph.D. in History from the University of North Texas. She served several years as Associate Dean for Social Sciences and participates in reaffirmation visits for SACSCOC. She teaches World Civilizations and European history courses ranging from ancient Greece to the twentieth century. Her research interests focus on the Lutheran Reformation, particularly Philip Melanchthon and Johannes Brenz. She has regularly presented research at the Sixteenth Century Studies Conference. She currently holds the rank of Professor.
