Dr. Jaska came to UMHB in June 2000 as the Chair of the Management and Marketing Department. In the Fall of 2002, he changed departments to become Chair of the newly created Department of the Computer Information Systems and also assumed the duties of Director of the Master of Science in Information Systems Program. In the Fall of 2006, Dr. Jaska changed departments again to become Chair of the newly created Department of Business Administration and Systems, but remained Director of the Master of Science in Information Systems. He returned as Chair of the Business Computer Information Systems Department in Fall 2008.
As of 2019, Dr. Jaska is now the program coordinator for the Supply Chain Management Major. With the need for supply chain professionals, the Supply Chain Management degree offers job opportunities for students in the various fields that touch the supply chain.
Dr. Jaska has done extensive research in supply chain management, radio frequency identification (RFID), and business process analysis. His teaching interests are related to his research where students in his classes apply business principles to practical exercises and projects.
