Curriculum Vitae (Résumé)
Dr. Brennan completed her MS and PhD in Physical Therapy at Texas Woman's University- Houston Center. She went on to become a board-certified clinical specialist in orthopaedics (OCS), and completed her advanced manual therapy certification through the North American Institute of Orthopaedic Manual Therapy, and dry needling certification through Kinetacore.
Prior to teaching full time at UMHB, Dr. Brennan was the Director of Clinical Research and clinical PT in the Orthopaedic Surgery Department of Baylor Scott and White Medical Center. At UMHB, she teaches the Examination and Evaluation course, all three Musculoskeletal courses, the Dry Needling elective course and coordinates the research curriculum. She also serves on the Investigational Review Board for the university, and continues to see patients once a week in the Cru Community Clinic. Her research interests include dry needing, blood flow restriction therapy, musculoskeletal ultrasound, and body composition metrics. Nationally, Dr. Brennan serves as a member of the Specialization Academy of Content Experts for the Orthopaedic Specialty Council of the American Physical Therapy Association.
