Curriculum Vitae (Résumé)
Kelda McMullen-Fix joined the nursing faculty, as a simulation and lab coordinator in 2006. Kelda helped build the simulation program for the School of Nursing. Prior to coming to UMHB, her nursing experience included work as a medical/surgical nurse, emergency nurse, nurse supervisor, and ED/EMS nurse manager and trauma coordinator. Kelda continues to practice as an emergency nurse and has over 20 years experience.
Kelda is an active member of the Emergency Nurses Association (ENA) and Texas League for Nursing (TxLN). She is engaged in community service through UMHB Nursing Student Association as a faculty advisor. In addition, Kelda and her children, Cooper and Lilly, attend Temple Bible Church
Kelda enjoys facilitating students to learn role adaptation as a student nurse to graduate nurse.
