Proof of Citizenship or Eligible Non-Citizen Status

The Department of Education (DOE) runs the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) against records from the Social Security Administration (SSA) and Deprament of Homeland Security (DHS).

When they ran the check, your information did not match with one of the department's records.

Because of the mismatch, the DOE requires us to collect further documentation to support your status as either a U.S. Citizen or an Eligible Non-citizen.

The Department of Education requires you to present the original documents to our office before we can award financial aid.

If you are unable to visit our office, you can make a copy of your original document and send to our office. If you choose this option, you will also need to have an affidavit signed in front of a notary. Below is a link to the affidavit and the financial aid office contact information.
