Mental health is a key part of your overall health. Brief screenings are the quickest way to determine if you or someone you care about should connect with a mental health professional - they are a checkup from your neck up. This program is completely anonymous and confidential, and immediately following the brief questionnaire you will see your results, recommendations, and key resources.
College SOS Suicide Prevention
Suicide is a preventable tragedy that often occurs as a result of an untreated mental illness. The College SOS Program is designed to strengthen your ability to assess whether or not you or your friends may suffer from depression, how to respond, and where to seek help.
It is important to ACT:
Acknowledge, Care, Treatment.
Acknowledge that you are seeing signs of depression or suicidal behavior in a friend and that it’s serious
Care – Let your friend know that you care about him or her, and that you are concerned that he or she needs help
Treatment – Encourage your friend to seek treatment and let them know about counseling services
