BELTON, Texas— The University of Mary Hardin-Baylor (UMHB) is excited to kick off the Christmas season with “A Very Mary Hardin-Baylor Christmas” featuring Handel’s “Messiah.” The
concert will be presented Thursday, Nov. 14, and Friday, Nov. 15, at 7:00 p.m. in the Sue & Frank Mayborn Performing Arts Center. Presented by UMHB’s College of Visual and Performing Arts, the concert features the university’s Concert Choir.
Current art students and alums will have works available for purchase before and after the concert. A food drive to support The Source, a campus food pantry, is also a part of the evening’s activities. Food items may be placed in the wrapped boxes at the Sue & Frank Mayborn Performing Arts Center.
“This UMHB holiday tradition continues as we bring the Christmas portion of Handel’s ‘Messiah’ to our campus,” said Dr. Kathryn Fouse, dean of UMHB’s College of Visual and Performing Arts. “Join us for an exciting evening with this beloved holiday classic and get started on your Christmas shopping!”
