Belton, Texas – For her talent Miss Search Cru, Molly Rodeffer, reenacted the archery scene from Pixar’s Brave. By the end of the night, the woman who portrayed a fictional princess earned a crown of her own. Rodeffer was named Miss Mary Hardin-Baylor 2020, Saturday, November 9, in the annual Miss MHB Pageant held in W.W. Walton Chapel.
Reigning Miss MHB Briana Frederickson crowned Rodeffer at the end of the evening’s contest. A senior engineering major from Salado, Rodeffer is the daughter of Aaron and Megan Rodeffer. During her time at UMHB, she has been involved in Search Cru, University Ambassadors, England Missions, and C-Life.
Unlike other pageants, Miss MHB celebrates young women with self-confidence, personality, and inner beauty. Each of the evening’s 17 competitors represents a different class or organization. They also each champion a platform of their choosing. Rodeffer's platform is “Building Global Relationships.”
