Welcome Week 2019

Belton, Texas – On Wednesday, August 21, 638 new Crusader students traveled to the University of Mary Hardin-Baylor campus for the start of this year’s Welcome Week.

As vehicles arrived at a student’s dorm, university students, faculty, and staff members swarmed and had them unpacked in moments. In most cases, students arrived at their rooms to find their belongings and furniture already in place without having carried anything themselves.

Some students had already moved in prior to Wednesday, mostly due to involvement in athletic programs or Welcome Week planning. In total, approximately 800 students have moved into on-campus housing. By the first day of class, 1,987 students are expected to move into residential housing.

Throughout the week, students will build lasting friendships, learn about UMHB history and traditions, and join the Mary Hardin-Baylor family. Below is a schedule of Welcome Week activities.

Wednesday, August 21
