Belton, Texas – On Saturday, November 9, the University of Mary Hardin-Baylor will host its annual Military Appreciation Day during the final home game of the Cru football program’s regular season. The event will feature several tributes to members of the American military.
Soldiers and their families will receive free admission, hot dogs, and drinks. On their way into Crusader Stadium, guests will also be able to enjoy a static display of army vehicles used by the 1st Cavalry Division Sustainment Brigade along King Street in front of the Bawcom Student Union.
For the first time ever, this year’s Military Appreciation Day will feature a special mass re-enlistment ceremony. Dozens of current Wagonmaster soldiers will renew their commitment to the army.
Saturday’s game will pit the top ranked Crusaders against the Bulldogs of Texas Lutheran University. Kick-off is scheduled for 1:00 p.m.
