Belton, Texas – On Saturday, September 14, the University of Mary Hardin-Baylor Crusader football program will open its season against the Lions of Albright College. The game will feature fireworks and celebrations of the team’s 2018 season, which ended with the Cru claiming the second NCAA Division III National Championship in program history.
Gates open at 4:30 p.m. for a 6:00 p.m. kick-off. Free t-shirts will be available to the first 3,000 fans in attendance. Seniors from last year’s team will be honored before the game. Those in attendance will also be treated to fireworks.
While general admission tickets usually cost $8 to $10, on Saturday, anyone wearing purple will be given a free general admission ticket. The Crusader Stadium ticket office is open Tuesday through Friday between the hours of 10:00 a.m. and 6:00 p.m. and two hours before kick-off. Reserved seats cost $10 in advance or $12 on game day. The Cru won its second National Championship with a 24-16 victory over Mount Union in Amos Alonzo Stagg Bowl XLVI, which was held December 14, 2018, in Shenandoah, Texas.
