Belton, Texas – On Monday, September 24, the University of Mary Hardin-Baylor College of Visual and Performing Arts and the Art Department will present the exhibition Recurring Alternatives: Sculpture by Greg Reuter. The works will be on display in the gallery of the Baugh Center for Visual Arts through November 2. The opening of exhibit will be celebrated with a public reception and artist’s talk at 5:00 p.m.
Reuter grew up in California in the 1960s with a love of music and surfing, He earned the MFA in sculpture and ceramics from the University of Hawaii. After working as a studio potter in Washington state and California, he moved to Texas in 1978 and began teaching at Texas A&M University - Corpus Christi. His sculptures in iron and bronze revolve around the Padre Island National Seashore using the beach as his studio.
