Belton, Texas – The University of Mary Hardin-Baylor Wind Ensemble is being recognized for its outstanding performance by the College Band Directors National Association (CBDNA) and has been selected to participate in the first-ever Small Band Program Showcase as part of the 2017 CBDNA National Conference. Forty-one ensembles submitted performance recordings to CBDNA and the top ten submissions were selected by a blind jury of three CBDNA members.
The conductors of the selected ensembles will present their showcase recordings during the National Conference, which will be held in Kansas City, March 15-18, 2017.
“It is an incredible honor for our ensemble to be recognized by this distinguished organization," Conductor Nils Landsberg. "This is a great testament, not only of the outstanding work of our current students and faculty, but also of the work of our former students who prepared the way for our ensemble growth and musical accomplishments.”
The ensembles selected for the showcase are from Emory University, Northwest Missouri State University, the University of West Georgia, the University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point, Drury University, Sinclair Community College, the University of Mary Hardin-Baylor, Fresno Pacific University, Henderson State University, and the University of Wisconsin-Lacrosse.
