Belton, Texas – Saturday, November 12, the University of Mary Hardin-Baylor will host Military Appreciation Day in Crusader Stadium on the UMHB campus. Military Appreciation Day is an annual tradition that draws hundreds of soldiers and their families from across Central Texas. Activities throughout the game will pay tribute to members of the military.
Active duty military and their families will enter through Gate 2, where they will each receive free admission and vouchers good for hotdogs and drinks.
The pre-game activities will feature several representatives of the 1st Cavalry Division Sustainment Brigade, the university’s adopted unit. The invocation will be given by Captain Khanasto West, the 1st Cavalry Division Sustainment Brigade chaplain, and “The Star Spangled Banner” will be performed by Sergeant Randy Holmes, a vocalist assigned to the 1st Cavalry Division Band.
Saturday’s contest marks the CRU’s tenth game and final home game of the season. They will be facing off with the Wildcats of Louisiana College. Kickoff is scheduled for 1 p.m. Crusader Stadium will open at 11:30 a.m.
