Belton, TX – On Friday, October 21, the University of Mary Hardin-Baylor will celebrate it Homecoming. Hundreds of alumni will journey back to campus to enjoy fun activities, traditions, and special events.
Homecoming kicks off Friday afternoon with registration and a carnival in Millennium Oaks Park beginning at 4:00 p.m. After the meal, the party will move into W.W. Walton Chapel for Stunt Night.
Stunt Night is a UMHB tradition that dates back to the turn of the century. It challenges the students of each class to work as teams producing performances that combine skit, singing, and dancing. This year’s theme is Pixar, so every class’s performance will represent one of the animation studio’s films. Performers and classes will be recognized with awards based both of the panel of judges and audience vote.
After this year’s Stunt Night winners are announced, students and alumni will gather for a pep rally and fireworks at the Luther Memorial. Meanwhile, a dessert party will be held in Millennium Oaks Park.
On Saturday, CRU fans will gather to tailgate the team’s game against Hardin-Simmons University outside the Musick Alumni Center & Museum beginning at 11:00 a.m. The game will begin at 1:00 p.m. inside Crusader Stadium. The game has been labeled, “the battle for the ASC conference championship.”
