Belton, Texas – The University of Mary Hardin-Baylor Department of Music is proud to present the UMHB Opera Theatre production of the 2016 Broadway Revue on Friday, September 30, and Saturday, October 1, in the Hughes Recital Hall of Presser Hall on the UMHB campus.
There will be two performances of the production on Friday at 6:00 and 7:30 p.m. and one performance on Saturday at 7:30 p.m. Tickets are free to UMHB students and will cost just $5 for the public. They can be purchased at umhbopera.com
The Revue will feature hits from Broadway classics like Phantom of the Opera, Oklahoma, Hello Dolly, Sound of Music, Carousel, Annie Get Your Gun, and Kiss Me Kate, performed by university vocalists and a full orchestra.
This concert qualifies as a Fine Arts Experience (FAE) credit for UMHB students. The Fine Arts Experience program endeavors to expose students to a wide variety of artistic expression during their time on campus. To this end, students are required to attend at least one designated Fine Arts Experience event each semester.
The production is under the direction of George and Penny Hogan, who will also serve as conductor and stage director, respectively. The rest of the cast, crew, and orchestra are listed below.
