The faculty at UMHB strive to provide an engaging learning environment utilizing the latest technology. As an online student, you can expect a high quality, academically-rigorous experience.

The classes will be interactive through the use of message boards and discussion forums. You will still have the opportunity to get to know your classmates as you work together throughout each class.

Before the start of the program, you will attend online student orientation. This will allow you to become more familiar with the expectations of this new learning community, and also make you aware of the resources available to support you as a student.

Yes, each graduate class is offered in either eight-week or four-week terms. Follow your course syllabi to ensure timely submission of your assignments.

The program is designed to allow you to complete it in one year if a full-time schedule of classes is maintained.

Your assignments are submitted electronically through your online classroom environment — just like you would turn them in to your professor on campus. Your professor will communicate to all students, at the beginning of the course, with the all assignment submission options and requirements.

As an online student, you are welcome to participate in all UMHB student activities and events, and the announcements sent to communicate involvement opportunities are sent to the entire student body on a weekly basis. You can also get connected through Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram.

No, the entire Master of Science in Sport Administration degree is administered online.

Students have a maximum of 5 years to complete the degree from the time the student first registered with degree seeking status.

At the completion of your degree we would love for you to come to campus for commencement ceremonies, which occur in May and December. This is a time for you to celebrate your accomplishments with family and friends, as well as meet your classmates, faculty and university staff who you have interacted with throughout the program. If you are unable to attend the commencement ceremony we will send your diploma in the mail.
