UMHB Facilities
The Physician Assistant program is located on the campus of the University of Mary Hardin-Baylor. Student training will take place in the Isabelle Rutherford Meyer Nursing Education Center (IRMNEC) and clinical sites throughout Texas. The IRMNEC is comprised of state-of-the-art classrooms, clinical labs, and the Clinical Simulation Learning Center (CSLC).
The CSLC is approximately 20,000 square feet and includes two large skills labs, a physical diagnosis lab, a standardized patient clinical space, and a simulation hospital. All labs and simulation centers are equipped with video cameras where students can record and evaluate their performance with professors and peers.
MSPA faculty and staff offices are housed in the historic Hardy Hall, where additional state-of-the-art lab spaces are available for students.
In addition to the classroom and lab spaces, the campus boasts a variety of facilities for studying, dining, fitness and reflection. The Townsend Memorial Library is home to countless print resources and online materials for research, as well as quiet spaces for studying.
The Bawcom Student Union is a vibrant part of campus where various dining options are available, and all three floors offer open study areas from early in the morning until late into the evening. The Mayborn Campus Center provides all students, faculty and staff with a robust fitness center designed to meet their wellness needs. In addition to the main fitness area filled with treadmills, rowers, weights, spin bikes, and more, there is also an aerobics room, recreational gym and half-Olympic size pool.
There are many opportunities on and off the UMHB campus for students to meet their spiritual needs. These can include attending weekly UMHB chapel services, participating in bible study groups, involvement in community religious groups, or spending time in the IRMNEC Phelps chapel in reflection and prayer.
