Welcome to the University of Mary Hardin-Baylor Master of Science Physician Assistant program!

The UMHB Physician Assistant program, housed in the Mayborn College of Health Sciences, offers a Master of Science in Physician Assistant degree after completion of a 28 month curriculum. The PA field is an extremely versatile and rewarding career path, and is currently the #1 of 100 best jobs according to US News and World Report.

We are committed to identifying and recruiting individuals of the highest caliber for the PA profession. It is our responsibility to equip students with the necessary clinical and professional knowledge, skills, and abilities to provide high quality, compassionate medical care to diverse patient populations.

Strengths of our program include a low student-faculty ratio, state-of-the-art resources and facilities provided by the Mayborn College of Health Sciences, interprofessional education with various health profession students, and incredible clinical partnerships that offer numerous clinical practice experiences for our students.

At UMHB, the graduate faculty and staff pride themselves on their accessibility to students both in the classroom and outside of the classroom doors. Our goal is to provide our students with the knowledge and confidence they will need in order to graduate as competent medical practitioners who are in high demand for careers as physician assistants.
