Students are accepted for the fall, spring, or summer semester. Although there is no deadline for admission, candidates are encouraged to apply at least the semester before they wish to enter the program.

A minimum undergraduate 3.0 GPA is required for regular admission. Students with more than five years of professional work experience lacking a 3.0 undergraduate GPA will be considered on a case-by-case basis after interviewing with the program director. Applicants must hold an undergraduate degree from a 4-year regionally accredited college/university.See the Admissions section of this catalog for admission application procedures and costs.

No previous Information Systems or Computer Science degree is required.

The MSIS Director will work with you as your advisor.

One assistantship is awarded each academic year. Applications are required. The assistant will be awarded by the Graduate MSIS faculty based upon qualifications and merit.

Residency Days are twice per semester, occurring once each term(A and B terms). These are required for any student on an F1 visa or any student receiving VA benefits and are optional for everyone else.

Yes, the MSIS is designed for the working professional and is offered as a part-time degree which can be finished in two years including the summer sessions. A student has up to 5 years to complete the degree.

You can complete your MSIS degree in 30 hours. You have the option of taking an additional 6 hours to add a concentration to your degree.

An international student is required to take a minimum of 9 credit hour status to maintain the full-time F1 status.

It depends on the availability of professors and courses. MSIS director will advise all the students before the registration.
