Alpha Eta Gamma Chapter of Kappa Delta Pi
UMHB is the host campus for the Alpha Eta Gamma Chapter of Kappa Delta Pi International. Kappa Delta Pi is an international honor society for educators. The purpose of the organization is to promote excellence in the education profession by recognizing and advancing scholarship, leadership, and service. Membership in the UMHB chapter of KDP requires an overall GPA of 3.0 at the senior level and 3.25 at the graduate level.
Membership is by invitation. Seniors and graduate students who are interested in pursuing membership may contact the chapter counselor, Dr. Mary Konrad. The group sponsors several service projects during the school year.
The local chapter is affiliated with the international organization.
