• Students may add a second business major or minor to their business degree.
• Students who plan carefully can still complete their degree in four years.

No.

• All students accepted to UMHB are eligible to study in the McLane College of Business.
• UMHB students wishing to pursue a degree from the McLane College of Business must notify the Registrar of their intent to major in Business.

Yes.

• Prospective students are always welcome to visit classes. Such visits can be coordinated through the University’s Admissions Office or the McLane College of Business Office.

Yes.

• Every student that is admitted to the McLane College of Business is assigned an advisor to help choose classes each semester.

Yes.

• All scholarships available to majors in the McLane College of Business are administered through the Financial Aid Office at UMHB.

• The average class size for classes in the McLane College of Business is approximately 20.

Yes.

• In addition to the Study Abroad opportunities available to all UMHB students, McLane College of Business undergraduate students have an average of two Study Abroad opportunities each year.
• Information about study abroad opportunities are available at Study abroad or the McLane College of Business Office.

Yes.

• All McLane College of Business majors are required to have 300 hours of practical experience.
• These 300 hours may be earned through a formal Internship program.
• They may also be earned through apprenticeships, full-time employment, part-time employment, volunteer efforts, international experiences, and other experiences approved by the Associate Dean.

• There is a wide variety of student organizations in the McLane College of Business in which students can participate.
• The McLane College of Business strongly encourages such participation as another form of professional growth.

• The McLane College of Business does not currently employ any teaching assistants.

Absolutely.

• All undergraduate programs in the McLane College of Business are designed to prepare students for entry-level positions in the marketplace, as well as to prepare those same students for graduate study.
• The McLane College of Business offers its graduates preferential opportunities in its own graduate programs.

• Most classes will have at least one guest speaker each semester.
• In addition to those speakers, the McLane College of Business hosts distinguished speakers available to all students of the College.
